- This amendment of the synopsis changes the period of performance from 180 days to 365 days. Additionally, the IFB solicitation will consist of a base bid only (option item is being deleted). This project consists of maintenance of a single lane shot rock road on Kuiu Island, which is located approximately 50 miles west of Petersburg, AK by air. Maintenance activities shall include, but not be limited to, mobilization, ditch maintenance, stump removal, alder removal, down tree removal, debris removal, culvert replacement, culvert repair, slide and slough removal, road surface repair, shot rock replacement, several 1? lifts of rock, and cleaning catch basins. This work also includes stream rehabilitation. Stream rehabilitation work shall include the development of fish habitat through directed excavation of pools, placement of large rocks, placement of woody debris, and bank restoration. Habitat restoration will take place under the guidance of an inspector. This work has a fish window of May 1st thru September 30th. The IFB solicitation will consist of a base bid and one option item bid. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The performance period is 180 days. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered. The solicitation and drawings are available for downloading at http://fedbizopps.gov on the anticipated solicitation issue date of June 1, 2005. A pre-bid meeting will not be held. It is the responsibility of the bidder to check FedBizOpps for any amendments to the solicitation or this announcement.
