Description
The purpose of this amendment is to change the quantity to 4 each in lieu of 1 each and to extend the closing date to May 27, 2005 in lieu of May 17, 2005. The Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for a Video Stabilizer with an additional one-year factory warranty. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M00146-05-T-3330 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-27 and Defense Acquisition Circular 98-60. This acquisition is under the North American Industry Classification System code 334310, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. This item's NAICS code is on the nonmanufacturer rule class wiaver. This requirement is for a firm fixed priced contract, brand name or equal, for the following items: Item 0001: 4 each Video Stablizer, P/N IVS-300A. The unit shall electronically correct video image shaking from camera, correct unsteadiness alone while maintaining the camera?s panning and tilt movements, correct unsteadiness on recorded VCR tapes, correct blurry images in real time, correct just blurriness while automatically recognizing panning and zooming and correct already recorded VCR tapes in addition to live video. The unit shall be capable of correcting up to 40% in vertical/horizontal direction with respect to screen. The unit shall provide sub-pixel level correction precision. The manufacturer of this brand name item is FOR.A. Item 0002: 4 each Additional one-year factory warranty - one for each unit. The delivery requirements are FOB destination and are to be delivered to Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC 28533 as soon as possible. Please quote your earliest possible delivery date. DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (JAN 2005), applies with the following clauses applicable for paragraph (b); DFARS 252.225-7036 Alt 1, Buy American Act?North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act?Balance of Payment Program (JAN 2005); DFARS 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests (JAN 2004) and DFARS 252.247-7023, Transportation of Supplies by Sea (MAR 2000). Evaluation Factors: The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this Request for Quotation to the technically acceptable, responsive, responsible offeror based on price and delivery alone. This requirement has a Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating of DO-A7. All quotes must be received no later than 4:oo PM, local time, May 27, 2005.
