- The U.S. Army, Office of the Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS) is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing and delivering 105mm Tank Tactical Ammunition M1040 Anti-Personnel (APERS) Cartridges, inclusive of packaging, for a quantity of 3000-5000 units per year from FY06-FY10. This office is also contemplating that this action will be limited to United States and Canadian firms. The M1040 Cartridge, DODAC: 1315-CA40, NSN: 1315-01-5266550, is for use in the Stryker Vehicle Family of the Mobile Gun System. It is an anti-personnel round used to defeat an advancing dismounted infantry squad at specific distances. All responding sources shall provide a summary of their company's capabilities including organizations, name/address/point of contact identification, a description of facilities/equipment, manufacturing process, inspection capability, personnel, past experience as an large caliber tank ammunition producer or systems contractor, proven monthly production capacity and/or potential capability, possible partnering/teaming arrangements; and whether the company is a small or large business.
