- P CLASS CODE: 66- Instruments and Laboratory Equipment SUBJECT: 66- Spatial Light Modulator SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA8751-05-Q-0469 RESPONSE DATE: 27 May 2005 CONTACT POINTS: Mark Johnson, Contracting Specialist, Email mark.johnson@rl.af.mil or FAX 315/330-2555 DESCRIPTION: The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with BOULDER NONLINEAR for (2) X/Y PHASE, SPATIAL LIGHT MODULATORS, MODEL P512-0532. According to market research, Boulder Non Linear is the only company capable of: an Array size of (7.68 x 7.68 mm), a controllable index of refraction, and a resolution of (512 x 512 grid w/33 lines per millimeter). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received (quote with product specifications) will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Market research by requesting office has demonstrated that there is only one reliable source for this item. The Air Force Research Laboratory intends to negotiate a sole source procurement for (2) spatial light modulators.
