Description

Naics ? 339111 Class Code: 6640 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Sub part 12.6 , as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. There will be no written request for quotation issued. Offerors responding to this announcement shall include a completed copy of provision 52.212-3- Offeror Representations and Certification;Commercial Items. An authorized representative of the offeror must sign these Representations and Certifications. The offeror shall me registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database and shall provide its Tax Identification Number. This action is unrestricted due to the inprobability of availability by small business. However, all interested parties may submit a quotation. The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System has identified a need to purchase a Chemiluminescent imaging system for use in the Research Department. List below are the minimum specifications for this equipment. 1. Motorized zoom lens 2. Live video imaging 3. Quantity one software 4. 12 Bit Roper Scientific super cooled camera w 4, 096 levels of gray scale 5. Unlimited copies of Quanity One densitometry & annotation software 6. Epi-White light source. 7. Images must be able to be captured in real time and resulting picture quality optimized, labeled and analyzed on-screen before images are printed. The software that powers this instrument must be able to perform 3D Gel Modeling, sample densitometry, colony counting, band analysis (including band size determination) with graphical representation of peaks and 3D viewing sample viewing for presentation purposes. Drivers must be able to expand to include more imaging instrumentation- must have the ability to be used as a foundation for expansion with other applicable instrumentation. The instrument must have a pull out drawer with separate cabinet opening, a large (25x25) illumination area. This equipment needs to be able to run on Mac and PC Platforms. Must have CV Values of less that 5%, must be able to detect low level chemiluminescent signal, must be able to export data to database/spreadsheet programs. In addition to chemiluminescent blots, this system will be used to document ethidium bromide, SYBR Green and various Sypro/Pro Q stained gels for genetic analysis. In some cases, band separation will be only 10 base pairs, therefore a camera that produces a very high ?quality resolution is essential. System would include: Imaging System, Computer System (PC), Printer, and UV/Wht lt Cov. Screen. Offers are due 6/1/2005 3:00 PM CST.
