- This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The office of NOAA National Weather Service located in Salt Lake City, Utah intends to negotiate a sole source contract with State of Utah to provide routine and emergency maintenance for NOAA Weather Radio VHF transmitter systems located at Frisco Peak ( Cedar City) , Utah Hill (St. George), Logan Peak (Logan), Bald Mesa (Moab) and Aspahlt Ridge (Vernal) and UHF transmitters located in such a manner that the highest possible system availability, within existing resources is provided to the users. The contractor will provide for vault and tower space for NWS transmitter systems at its property located at Barney Top Mountain, Frisko Peak, Logan Peak, Utah Hill and Aspahlt Ridge, Utah. The contractor will also provide for microwave service between Salt Lake City and Frisko Peak , Frisko Peak to Utah Hill, Salt Lake City to Logan Peak, Salt Lake to Aspahlt Ridge and Salt City to Barney Top Mountain, Utah. A firm-fixed price order will be issued with performance period of one year. This notice may represent the only office notice. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100, 000.00. ****The Western Administrative Support Center Acquisition Management Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
