Description
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center (AAC) has a requirement for armed and unarmed security guard services in Austin, Texas. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing on a 24-hour basis (24X7X365) armed/unarmed security guard services to protect persons and property at the AAC, including alternate worksite(s) in the event of a disaster as may be declared by the Government in accordance with its Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP). This requirement will result in award of a single firm-fixed price contract with a base period of one year and four one-year options. The total estimated period of performance with all options exercised is five years. The target date of award is August 1, 2005, with the period of performance beginning on October 1, 2005. The procurement will be 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) pursuant to FAR 19.14. The NAICS code is 561612, Security Guard Services. This requirement will be solicited as a Request for Proposal (RFP) pursuant to FAR Part 15, and the source selection will be based on the proposal that is most advantageous to the Government as described in Section M of the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about April 15, 2005, and proposals will be due 30 days after the RFP is issued. Interested SDVOSBs may access the solicitation (RFP 200-43-05), amendments and other miscellaneous documents at FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov). No hard copies will be mailed. It is the responsibility of each Offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, due dates, updates or changes to current information. All questions regarding the solicitation must be in writing and addressed to the contracting officer identified in the solicitation document. NO TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED.
