- NASA/ARC intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price, purchase order to Fire Trucks Plus, 9020 Rancho Park CT, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 for a International 4700 Westates Squad with the following options: Diesel engine-210 HP-Turbo; Allison automatic transmission; 86.07 engine hours; Hydraulic brakes; Honda gasoline generator-E2200X; Rear Waterous 250 GPM pump-single stage; Foam system; Foam tank; Length of body 13?; Exterior lights; Interior lights; Emergency lights; Siren; 4-SCBA mountings 7 compartments; 2 slide-in equipment trays; Hose reel; Red over white in color; 3 man cab; Tires: 245/75R22.5 with Alcoa Aluminum wheels; 50-gallon fuel tank; 152? wheelbase; GVW 21,440; Height 92?; Length 21? Width 92?. This vehicle is a used 1996 model and is in stock to be delivered immediately. This is a Commercial Item Acquisition under FAR Part 12. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government believes only one responsible source can provide the product that will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 12:00 pm local time on May 25, 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
