- commercial The Government is considering issuing a solicitation/ contract for commercial industrial tools and supplies for U.S. Naval ships and shore installations located nationwide. All interested large and small companies are encouraged to submit a proposal for commercial industrial tools and supplies procurement [To include a variety of standard hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, scrapers; a variety of materials used to perform minor routine maintenance tasks such as spray paints, non-skid deck adhesives, gloves paint brushes and rollers, putty knives, various sizes of masking tape, flash lights, batteries, light bulbs, etc.; A variety of washers, screws, nuts, nails, hasps, switches, fuses, taps, hooks, gaskets, clamps, cotter pins, connector boxes, plugs, toggle pins, alligator plus electrical clips, abrasive paper, incandescent lamps, electrical assembly cords, electrical lanterns, adapters, etc.] for U.S. Naval ships and shore installations located nationwide (CONUS) and Alaska, Hawaii and Guam (OCONUS). The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC), San Diego has issued an unrestricted solicitation (N00244-05-R-0005) for nation-wide virtual commercial procurement that utilizes on-line electronic ordering (via DoD EMALL). Items shall be delivered within 24 hours, pierside/deckside, directly to the end user (Hawaii and Alaska 48 hours, Guam 5 working days). End users, who will place orders against this contract, may be located at various nationwide Naval ship and shore installations. The following commodities will be covered under this solicitation/contract: Office Supplies, Janitorial/Sanitation Supplies, Industrial Tools and Supplies, Galley Equipment and Supplies, and Printer/Toner Cartridges. Contractors may propose on any or all commodities. The Government reserves the right to make split awards against this contract. However, each commodity will result in only one award. The Government anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Firm fixed price c! ontract(s) with a base period and four one-year options. This procurement is advertised and will be negotiated pursuant to FAR parts 12 and 15.
