Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWC Division Newport intends to solicit proposals for Hydro-Acoustic Low Frequency HLF-1 series transducers, maintenance kits, along with refurbishment, conversion, and support services associated with existing HLF-1 series transducers. NUWC anticipates a five-year, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. A proposed sole source action with Hydroacoustics, Rochester, NY is anticipated. Hydroacoustics is the original manufacturer and owns the proprietary rights to the HLF-1 series transducer. These transducers will support the Acoustic Augmentation Support Program (AASP). Each year?s quantity for inspection of incoming transducers is up to ten (10) units. Each year?s quantity for the HLF-1D and HLF-1E refurbishments is up to ten (10) units each. Each year's quantity for all additional refurbishment items is up to ten (10) units each. Each year's quantity for the HLF-1A to HLF-1D and HLF-1E conversion is up to twelve (12) units each. Each year's quantity for the HLF-1C to HLF-1D conversion is up to two (2) units each. Each year's production quantity for the HLF-1D and HLF-1E is up to ten (10) units each. Each year's production quantity for the HFL-1 series Maintenance kits is up to ten (10) units. Each year?s quantity for support services is estimated to be 200 man-hours.
