- ISSUE DATE IS CHANGED TO MAY 17, 2005. RESPONSE DUE DATE FOR QUOTES IS CHANGED TO BE DUE ON JUNE 7, 2005. The Colville National Forest requires Tree Thinning services on approximately 308 to 571 acres on the Republic Ranger District. Location of the work is in Ferry County, Washington, located in the NE portion of Washington State. This project requires the furnishing of all tools, equipment, materials, supplies (except those designated as Government-Furnished), labor, supervision, workman?s compensation, unemployment insurance, transportation, and incidentals to perform all work necessary to accomplish the tree thinning and some piling and slashing. The resultant contract will be an indefinite quantity contract. The minimum guarantee is currently estimated to be approximately 308 acres. The task orders will be issued when funding becomes available and within the effective period. The effective period is currently estimated from date of award through September 30, 2007. One award will be made. Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act registration and a Washington State Farm/Forest Labor License are required. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about April 22, 2005. Estimated start work date is on or about June 6, 2005 for the first task order. Quotes are estimated to be due May 16, 2005. The proposed project listed here is a 100 percent small business set-aside. NAICS code is 115310, size standard $6.0 million. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
