Description
Modification is issued to extend the Clarification to the solicitation will be accepted until 9:00 am est. on May 17, 2005. 1. The United States Postal Service (USPS) operates a corporate website, www.usps.com, as its primary internet channel. USPS.com provides consumers and businesses with 24-hour access to Postal Service? products, services, and information from the convenience of their home or office. With approximately 20 million visitors per month, this website requires continuous improvements and enhancements to meet the growing and diverse needs of its customers. 2. USPS seeks qualified and experienced contractors capable of comprehensive Interactive Design Engineering (IDE). The IDE provider(s) must describe its leadership in the IDE marketplace, IDE innovations created, and collaboration support from its current clients (user groups) as well as describing:  Its activities that support its commitment to the IDE niche and how it will bring appropriate IDE advancements to the Postal task;  Its industry recognition (awards, honors, etc.) achieved by its supported clients through the IDE?s work products. IDE provider(s) must support all aspects of the Graphic User Interface (GUI) design and day-to-day support for site content maintenance as well as work with multiple Postal providers and internal organizations as team leaders to gather and translate business driver requirements for the best design solutions consistent with the site capabilities, Internet Channel goals, and policies and procedures. Site designs must be engineered for measurability; providing a basis for continuous improvement toward objectives. IDE provider(s) must demonstrate a proven ability to operate within multiple hardware, software and browser environments, and have adequate comprehension of the USPS Information Technology Toolkit at www.usps.com/itk. NOTE: This is not a tasking for application, infrastructure, or systems development, nor does it support changing the software platforms. While some HTML or web related development may be necessary in the course of providing deliverables, any final ?coding? for use on USPS infrastructure will be performed by other internal USPS technology organizations. 3. The Postal Service intends to select the supplier who provides the best value as define in the attached solicitation, statement of work (attachment A), and Pricing table (attachment B.
