Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis, cylindrical elevation beam scanning antennas utilizing Continuous Transverse Stub (CTS) technology with Raytheon Network Centric Systems 1001 Boston Post Road, Marlborough, MA 01752-3789. Negotiations will be conducted with Raytheon Corporation, who has acquired licensing rights to the CTS technology for commercial and Department of Defense (DoD) use. The antenna subsystem will be a critical subsystem component in a current Government development project. This work procured under this effort will depend heavily on antenna design work performed under contract N68936-02-C-0035. Raytheon is currently developing a cylindrical CTS antenna as a subcontract effort under contract N68936-02-C-0035. There are four principal tasks associated with this procurement. They are 1) the modification of a previously developed CTS antenna design! to accommodate changed performance parameters, 2) the development of an elevation scanning mechanism, 3) the integration and test of the completed antenna subsystem assembly, and 4) the documentation of the design. Under the proposed contract, the Navy will procure three Engineering Development Model (EDM) antennas, with options to procure up to 75 production antennas. The 75 production antennas will use the design of the three EDM antennas. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type contract is contemplated. Raytheon is the only known firm with the required expertise to accomplish the proposed design, development, and fabrication efforts. Any firm believing that they can provide required services, may submit a written response, which shall be considered, clearly showing their ability to perform the work. Responses shall be made in writing to Commander, Code 210000D, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), 429 East Bowen Road Stop 4015 China Lake, CA 93555-6108, At! tn: Paul Barnhurst or by e-mail: paul.barnhurst@navy.mil or by fax at (760) 939-3095 Place of Performance = Contractor Facility Set Aside = N/A NAICS Code = 334511
