Description
Notice of Intent to award a sole source purchase order to M3Research, 53500 Falcon Road, Olathe, Colorado 81425 to provide science advisory services to U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) in , Southwest Biological Science Center (SBSC) Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center (GCMRC), Flagstaff, AZ. Contractor will conduct an annual independent external review of the USGS, GCMRC Research and Adaptive Management Program (AMP). Contractor will conduct a review of all comprehensive planning documents for programs and provide advice on monitoring and research methods. Contractor will also provide senior science advisors to represent multiple disciplines represented in Glenn Canyon Dam (GDC) AMP programs including: aquatic ecology, fish ecology, economics, adaptive management, biometrics, limnology, biology, hydrology, geomorphology, anthropology, archeology, and biometrics. Period of Performance is 1 July 2005 to 30 June 2006 plus one additional option year. M3 Research has unique capabilities in management of large complex ecosystem integrated ecosystems science programs consisting of multiple science projects, each of which reflect complex science procedures, management of large complex science programs with universities, government, and private industry that address issues requiring multiple programs and projects across multiple years, and has experience in large western river ecosystems. Capabilities also include strong science knowledge across all disciplines for the Colorado River Ecosystem, strong adaptive management experience, designing and management of complex ecosystem science programs, and management of science advisor programs. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. Contractors must submit their capabilities statement and information to the following address for determination whether this requirement will be competed as a Request for Quote.
