- The purpose of this synopsis is to notify industry that a Sole Source Bridge IDIQ Contract will be awarded to FC Business Systems, Inc. for the period of June 1, 2005, through November 30, 2005 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.30 2-1. The contractor shall provide non-personal information technology support services for both classified and unclassified systems for elements assigned to, reporting to, or serviced by the United States Army Network Enterprise Technology Command/9th Arm y Signal Command (NETCOM/9th ASC). These elements include the Headquarters Commandant; Assistant Chief of Staff, G-3; Continental United States Theater Network Operations and Security Center; and Public Affairs Office. The services will include the fol lowing functional areas: network administration and maintenance; systems administration; host administration; e-mail administration; hardware and software maintenance; hardware and software installation; diagnostics; resolution/correction of outages; ente rprise backup; telephone, local, and wide area media systems installation, testing, and maintenance; information assurance support; web development, design, security, and maintenance; programming and application development; information technology training ; and information technology repair parts acquisition. Services are currently being provided under seven separate task orders by approximately 235 contractor personnel under GSA Millennia Lite Contract Number GS07T00BGD0024. The task orders have various expiration dates ranging from June 30, 2005, through November 30, 2005. The ability for any new contractor source to recruit and mobilize approximately 235 personnel for the 6 month performance period is not feasible. A competitive small business set-asi de recompete action will be conducted for these requirements in the near future. A synopsis will be posted prior to the release of a solicitation for the recompete action.
