Description
Sources Sought: The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA/VA), James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital located in Tampa, FL, is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of SMALL BUSINESSES capable and interested in providing Radiation Protection Survey Services at the Department of Veterans' Affairs, VA Outpatient Clinic located at 5201 Raymond Street, Orlando, FL. Independently, and not as an agent of the Government (the Customer), the Contractor shall furnish Radiation Protection Survey(s) which includes, but not limited to, measuring radiation output at three qualities to determine exposure to patient(s); check the reproducibility of exposure for various ma-time combinations; measurements of HVL and filtration; measure stray radiation to occupied positions adjacent to each unit;, check timer accuracy; check light localizer for alignment; and inspection. The anticipated performance period is July 1, 2005 through September 30, 2005, with 4 twelve month renewal option periods. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 12. The NAICS Code is 541380 and the size standard is $10.0 million dollars. Responses to this announcement shall determine if sufficient competition exists in the small business community in order to set this procurement aside for small business concerns. The anticipated release date of the solicitation package is May 9, 2005. Please provide interest in this solicitation by responding to this announcement no later than 3:30 p.m. March 4, 2005.
