- The Bureau Of The Census, Field Division intends to enter into a sole source Simplified Acquisition with Jennifer Jones for the collection of data for the Census Coverage Measurement (CCM) survey using automated data collection instruments on portable computers. This is a critical undertaking designed to improve data quality and reduce costs on the 2010 Census. The contractor shall provide expertise in data collection methodology and specifically field operations to assist in the technical requirements for the automated Census for NRFU instrument used on the mobile computing devise (MCD). It is the Bureau Of The Census belief that only Jennifer Jones can satisfy this requirement. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responses received within 15 days from the posting of this notice will be reviewed and evaluated. Interested parties having the capability to provide the above described services should submit, in writing, their capability statement with cost information to rhonda.m.talbert@ census.gov or fax @ 301-457-8465 within 15 days of this notice. No telephone request will be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the USCB. If no responses are received a sole source contract will be awarded to Jennifer Jones without further notice.
