- Description
- The Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau (BBG/IBB), Office of Contracts (M/CON), has a requirement to refurbish the antenna towers at its Delano, CA Transmitting Station to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements. The Contractor shall be required to provide all labor, supervision, machinery, equipment, and materials necessary to fabricate, ship, and install flexible cable safety systems on 35 steel rhombic and curtain antenna towers. The total estimated construction price range to accomplish the above work is between $100,000 and $250,000. The proposed period of performance of this work requires completion within 180 calendar days from issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. The contractor shall be responsible for visiting the Delano, CA to verify local conditions. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 15.304, Offerors are hereby notified that the basis for award will include: (1) technical evaluation factors (i.e., technical approach, management approach, and experience) and (2) price evaluation factors (past performance and proposed firm-fixed-price) with technical evaluation factors being approximately equal to price. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 19.1305, the contracting officer has determined that this procurement is appropriate for a 100% Set Aside for HubZone Small Business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238190 (Other Foundation, Structure, and Building Exterior Contractors) and the small business size standard is $12.0m. All responsible small business sources located within a HubZone may submit a proposal in response to the attached Solicitation document referenced herein, and all proposals shall be considered by the Agency. This FBO notice is not a RFP, IFB, or RFQ. See Numbered Note 27.
