Specifically, contractor services required include: (1) refining the final design of the demonstration and evaluation; (2) conducting the demonstration in multiple, geographically disbursed sites; (3) recruiting participants to be divided between a treatment group and a control group, who are Title II beneficiaries with a primary impairment of schizophrenia or affective disorder; (4) working with SSA?s Medical Benefits Demonstration Contractor to ensure that appropriate medical services are provided; (5) recruiting a network of providers to provide employment supports (medical supports will be coordinated by the Medical Benefits Demonstration Contractor); (6) ensuring that medical treatment and employment supports are fully integrated; and (7) performing an evaluation of the demonstration and an analysis of its outcomes that will allow SSA to determine the feasibility of long-term programmatic changes.
