Description
Description of Requirement: This is a Sources Sought Synopsis intended to provide market research information for use in developing a solicitation for Design and Build of a Video Teleconferencing System. Responses to this announcement will be used to identify interested quality sources and equipment available in the market place. Responses will be accepted only from Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) concerns. Note 29 applies. The NAICS code is 519190 and the small business size standard is $6 million. Responses from other than SDVOB concerns will not be considered. Information requested from interested parties is described below: The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) requires an IP/ISDN based Video Teleconferencing system capable of providing Satellite Downloads, CATV access, video conferencing at the desktop level as well as in conference rooms. This system shall provide centrally located accounting, administration and scheduling. The system shall also allow a minimum of five (5) simultaneous incoming video teleconferencing connections, and also allow three (3) individual users to hold separate video teleconferences. Responses must include the following information: List by category the model, condition, including any special features and quantity components Provide past experience information by listing three to five ( 3-5 ) projects that demonstrates and documents the respondent?s performance on Government or Commercial Video Teleconferencing contracts. Include a description of the services provided, the period of performance, contract number, name, telephone number, address and e-mail of the contracting officer or project manager. Respondents are encouraged to provide any recommendations in developing a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government will evaluate the information provided, use it to document our market research and develop an RFP. In addition, the Government will use its evaluation of the information and other research to determine the sources that appear qualified to perform the work and assure the level of safety required by the Government. The Government intends to release the RFP only to those respondents who are deemed qualified for this requirement based on their initial response. The Government currently anticipates a single award to the source that provides the best value by offering the broadest capability of Video Teleconferencing suited to the GSA requirements while performing strict quality control procedures to ensure the pricing will be firm fixed priced. The Government anticipates the Period of Performance for the total project to be approximately three (3) weeks, commencing in July 2005, but is considering Option Periods to maintain the system for up to four (4) years. Respondents must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry at the time of award. The address of the website is www.ccr.gov.
