- On or about May 20, 2005 this office will issue a Request for Quote for a 3-Year Firm Fixed Price Contract for Biological Monitoring and Assessment of Off-Channel Aquatic Habitats and Related Pallid Sturgeon Programs along the Missouri River System u nder NAICS Code 541690, in support of the US Army Corps of Engineers and its customers. The Government will award one contract from Solicitation Number W9128F-05-Q-0125 with an estimated total value of up to $ 4.8 Million, for the base work and nine (9) o ptions, which will not exceed a total of three (3) years. This contract will be a sole source award to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources which has the unique capabilities required to provide these specialized services in support of endangered specie s recovery efforts. Since the inception of these recovery efforts the Iowa Department of Natural Resources has partnered with the U.S. Corps of Engineers and other State and Federal Agencies who perform recovery work along their respective segments of the river. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources was selected for this award because they possess the biological expertise, experience, knowledge, and refined techniques to conduct this biological monitoring and assessment work on the Missouri River Syste m.
