- CASE-COMBUSTION CHAMBER, OUTER FRONT - DESC: Item 0001, NSN: 2840-00-867-5868RV, P/N: 488966, DIMENSIONS: CASE IS APPROX. 5 LONG WITH MANY CLOSE TOLERANCE DIAMETERS VARYING FROM 38.390 TO 41.780, MTL: AMS 5613 SST, APPL TO: TF33-P3/11A ENGS, DEST: TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032; DELIVERY: BY JAN 2008; QUANTITY: MIN 11, MED 21, MAX 26 EA. Qualification requirements: This is a small business set-aside reserved for qualified sources. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on becoming qualified. The requirements of FAR 9.202(a)(1) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. Qualified sources are: Flanagan Ind 06959, Purdy Corp 15152, Beacon Ind 32816, Stowe Mch 4A011, & Turbocombustor 64043. Government/commercial new & unused surplus material is acceptable. The approximate response date will be 5 Jul 2005. The anticipated award date is 1 Aug 2005. Data package will be provided to approved sources and First Article requirements will apply. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a bid. Justification: Supplies required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
