- In accordance with the Revised Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has conducted a Streamlined Competition of Information Management, Office of Clinical Standards and Quality. This study was announced on 15 February 2005. CMS has completed this study effective May 13, 2005. The result of this study confirms that it is more cost effective to retain the studied commercial activity in-house. This service is currently provided by six (6) Federal Government employees. This streamlined competitive sourcing study was conducted at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, 7500 Security Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21244-1850.
