- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to replace the existing Type 18 periscope with a modular, non-SUBSAFE, state-of-the-art digital design including: upgraded optical design and manufacturing, fiber optic cabling, RF to fiber converters, high resolution all light level cameras, RF and fiber optic rotary joints, hull penetrators, periscope outer tube and Eye Piece Box machining, systems testing and integration. To brief interested parties an Industry Day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI (Chaffee Auditorium, Building 1346). Registration starts at 8:00 AM and the Conference begins promptly at 9:00 AM and will end approximately at 12:00 PM. The Agenda includes: Program Overview; Requirements Documents; Technology discussion and Acquisition Strategy. By June 8th, send your list of attendees to email rabeet@npt.nuwc.navy.mil. By June 8th FAX your Clearance and Visit request information to (401) 832-4396. This Industry Day will be classified at the SECRET level. The Government is not responsible for an offeror?s inability to attend the Conference. For further information contact Eric Rabe at (401) 832-8037.
