- Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to negotiate a new sole source Fixed Price Incentive (FPI) Basic Order Agreement (BOA) to EDO Corporation, Marine & Aircraft Division, 1500 New Horizon Blvd., North Amityville, NY 11701-1130. NAVSEA will issue the solicitation on approximately 6 June 2005. The services and supplies to be provided include the labor, material, and documentation necessary to overhaul, repair and/or modify the MK 105 Magnetic Minesweeping and MOD 4 Systems, C4I Data Link ? Tactical Data Processor (TDP) Systems, and Organic Airborne and Surface Influence System (OASIS). EDO is the sole designer, developer, producer, and supplier of the MK 105 Magnetic Minesweeper System, C4I-TDP, OASIS, and related upgrade kits. EDO Corporation is the only source with the expertise required to disassemble the equipment, determine the nature of the problem, and accomplish appropriate overhaul and repair tasks. As a result, EDO is the only known source with the in-depth technical knowledge and equipment needed to perform depot overhaul and repairs within the required timeframe to support the Navy?s needs.
