Description
The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to award a construction contract for Whole Neighborhood Revitalization, at Fort Riley, Kansas. Four Hundred Twenty-seven (427) housing units, located in 3 subdivisions (Mead Heights, Burnside and Camp Forsyth) are included in the project. The estimated construction cost is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. The work includes, but is not limited to the following: Construction of single-story family room and utility room additions (approximate area 220 square-feet each). The work includes flooring replacement; CATV and telephone system upgrades; smoke detector installation, replacement of metal siding with vinyl siding, new HVAC Systems, interior painting and new patio privacy fences. Neighborhood infrastructure revitalization includes burying overhead electric lines, lawn seeding, new streetlights, bus shelte rs and miscellaneous pavement and sidewalk repair. This will be a full and open competition. The government will consider all responsive bids submitted by responsible Offerors. The solicitation will be available on or about 15 June 2005. Bids will be due 30 calendar days later. The anticipated award da te is on or about 22 July 2005. Estimated contract duration is 22 months. An organized Site visit will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at the Ware Elementary School Parking Lot, Fort Riley. Arrive early to allow time to pass through security. You must present a valid drivers license, current vehicle registratio n and proof of insurance to obtain a vehicle access pass. This solicitation, including plans and specifications, will be issued only in CD-ROM format. Paper copies will not be available. Solicitation requests by telephone call and fax will not be accepted. On-line registration is required to receive a copy of the solicitation at the following website: http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/contract/contract.html. A valid surface shipping address must be provided (no P.O. boxes) and a valid e-mail address. Only one copy of the solicitation will be sent to each register ed party. Any amendments to the solicitation will be posted on the website (see above). Registered planholders will be notified of any amendments via e-mail only. Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), in order to re ceive a government contract award.
