- This Amendment to Pre-Solicitation Notice FA7000-05-R-00487 is issued to acknowledge that the solicitation will be issued as an RFQ vs. a formal RFP. Due to internal system errors, a "R" solicitation number for RFP vs. a "T" for RFQ was initiated. However, this is not accurate and this amendment is issued to correct that misconception. A letter RFP will not be issued. A SF1449 RFQ will be issued in its place. All steps and procedures are in compliance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Parts 12 and 13. This is a 100% small business set-aside. This is a name brand acquisition only: SSK Industries in the only manufacture that can meet the Government's and USAFA's strict regulations [FAA]. However, all small business distributors that are capable of meeting the quantity and delivery requirements are invited to submit a quote. The 98th Flying Training Squadron has a requirement for the 2005 Basic Free Fall Parachute Program: CYPRES-2 Parachute Automatic Activation Device, One Pin Expert.
