- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items perpared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number, N00104-05-Q-Q364, is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This procurement is being issued in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, has a requirement for the following items: CLIN 0001: (1 Each) Rimage Protege II, Prism Plus, CD and High Performance Control Center, P/N: 555421-202 - Networkable, Unique CD Publishing, Scalable. CLIN 0002: Installation & On Site Training (1 Day). CLIN 0003: Dual Protege II 4 hour Onsite Maintenance (12 Months), P/N: 162113-046 (Onsite service with 4 hours on call). CLIN 0004: (10 Each) Prism Plus CMY Ribbons, P/N: 202506-001. This system will be linked to an existing Rimage Protege II system and made a dual CD system. The contractor shall offer the Government the same warranty terms offered to the general public. These warranty terms must be included in the system price. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to that responsible offeror proposing the lowest price for the items required. The provision of 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Any resultant contract will be DO rated under the Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS). This system will support the Joint Engineering Data Management and Information Control System (JEDMICS) located at the Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command (NATEC), San Diego, CA. The Rimage Protege II will be delivered to NATEC San Diego, CA, FOB Destination.! Quotes are requested no later than close of business on 23 May 2005 and shall be submitted via email to tammi.reasner@navy.mil.
