Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs Facilities within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 7), VA Medical Center in Birmingham, AL, intends to award a sole source procurement with US Filter, 2600 Commercial Square Dr, Irondale AL, for full maintenance and repair services to include all labor supervision, and parts which fail for any reason and which are necessary to maintain a DI/RO Water System in operational condition according to manufacturer?s specifications. The contractor shall perform weekly inspections to visually inspect all components of the complete system and will make any adjustments and expendable replacements necessary during the visit. Equipment is located at the VA Medical Center, 700 South 19th St, Birmingham, AL. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 ? only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements, NAICS code is 811219 with a size standard of $6.0 Mil. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis.
