Description

A reverse auction technique will be used for the acquisition of High-Performance Synthetic Mooring Line. Vendors are invited to view and participate in the auction at www.fedbid.com. Solicitation number is DTMA4R05010. Estimated start date is 5/13/05. Estimated Closing date is 5/20/05. NAICS CODE 314991 SIC 2298 FPDS: 4020 Synthetic lines to be considered for this procurement are to have the following characteristics: "Line shall have a minimum tensile strength of no less than 79,600 lbs. based on industry standards as published by the Cordage Institute. "Nominal diameter shall not exceed 1-?". "Weight shall not exceed 45 lbs per 100 feet. "UV resistant "Abrasion resistant "Low elongation "Torque resistant Provide the following high performance synthetic lines according to the characteristics above: A.Four (4) each 600 feet in length B.Six (6) each 400 feet in length All lines shall have a six (6) foot eye spliced in one end with chafing material installed.
