Description

The Government intends to award a sole source contract to Red Fox Environmental Services, Inc., 1513B Chemin Agreable Road, Youngsville, Louisiana 70592 for the purpose of replacing a Red Fox RF-4000-M USCG approved Type II Marine Sanitation Device tank onboard T/S STATE OF MAINE. Materials are to be furnished pre-cut and prepared for assembly in strict accordance with propietary design and fabrication data, and material specifications held by Red Fox Environmental Serivces, Inc. This requirement is being procured and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Parts 12, 13 and 15 by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration, South Atlantic Region. This will be a sole source procurement using simplified acquisitions procedures having an expected cost of less than $100,000. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications specifically to provide the identified MSD Tank in writing to the point of contact not later than 3:00pm local time on May 19, 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
