- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is requesting technical assitance to develop University Transportation Center Profiles (UTC). This work will involve the creation, dissemination, and annual update of a UTC profile publication. UTCs to be included in the profile publication include both federally funded UTCs (statutory UTCs) and those not currently receiving federal funds (non-statutory UTCs). The publication shall be developed in a clear, concise, user-friendly format so readers can easily identify the issues and gain a good understanding of the practices, procedures, and activities of the UTCs. The publication should include an introduction and highlights of best practices for each focus area, and at least one example for all statutory and non-statutory UTCs. The content of the UTC profiles should focus on highlighting best practices in such areas as Research Program, Education Program, Technology Transfer, Eisenhower Program participation, Student Activities, Workforce Pipeline Activities, Key Partnerships, etc. The intent is that the UTC profiles be useful not only to the UTCs but the transportation community at large, and in particular, the Federal, State, and local Department of Transportation (DOTs). This is a Simplified Acquisition award and the threshold is $100,000.00. The anticipated award date is on or about June 1, 2005.
