Description
THIS PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING AND PRINTING IN APPROXIMATELY 15 DAYS. SILVER CREEK PLUNGE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT. The project consists of the removal and disposal of the existing bridge; including timber decking, steel superstructure, and concrete abutments; clearing; cofferdam construction; structure excavation and backfill; furnishing and installing treated timber abutments; designing, furnishing, and installing 24-foot wide by 46-foot long precast/prestressed concrete beam superstructure (bridge); bridge, approach, and transition railing; placing riprap; providing the associated soil erosion and pollution control; embankment and roadway construction; borrow excavation; aggregate surfacing; bituminous wearing surface; waste material disposal; providing and installing construction warning (traffic control) signs; applying seed mix and mulch; and cleanup. The project is located in Township 12N, Range 5E, SW ? of the NE ? Section 36, Boise Meridian, on the Emmett Ranger District, Boise National Forest, Valley County, Idaho. The project site can be reached by taking State Highway (SH) 55 from Boise, Idaho to Banks, Idaho. After crossing the South Fork Payette River, turn right onto the Banks-Lowman Highway (AKA Hwy 17) and travel for 8 miles towards Crouch. Turn right at the junction with the Middle Fork Road (National Forest System Road (NFSR 698) towards Crouch. Take NFSR 698 northeast for approximately 15 miles to the junction of NFSR 671. Turn right on NFSR 671 and proceed for approximately 8 miles to NFSR 671W1 and turn right. The project site is approximately 0.1 mile up NFSR 671W1. From Boise, total distance is about 50 miles on pavement and about 24 miles on gravel and dirt roads. NAICS code: 237310; size standard: $28.5. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Estimated start date is July 11, 2005 with 115 calendar days for completion.
