- Cell, Conductivity - NSN 6630-01-017-0430. Manufacturer: Marine Electric Systems, Inc. P/N IC-CN8N-2S3-300. Quantity to be purchased: 50. An additional option quantity of 50. Unit of issue: Each. Destinations: DD San Joaquin and DD New Cumberland. Scheduled delivery period beginning 90 days after date of contract. Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Marine Electric Systems, Inc. There is no other known source for this Military Unique item. This notice is neither an invitation for bid nor a request for proposals. Award will be made in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only Marine Electric Systems, Inc. - 33 Rte. 17 South, Unit B, E. Rutherford, NJ 07073 has the necessary design data to ensure that the item to be acquired will meet the requirements. No standard drawing exists. This cell must be ordered sole source to work with the existing salinity measuring system design of Marine Electric on board Navy carriers. Marine Electric Systems, Inc. is the only manufacturer. There is no suitable substitute for this capability. All materials used in fabrication are to be furnished by the successful bidder. See Numbered Note 9.
