- The purpose and intent of this contract is to secure services for pre-commercial thinning of approximately 534 acres of conifer reproduction, approximately 21 to 28 years old. All items are on west Prince of Wales Island, in the Staney Creek area. Prince of Wales Island is part of the Thorne Bay and Craig Ranger Districts, Tongass National Forest, Alaska. The approximate mileage from Thorne Bay to Staney Creek area is 31 miles. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (10-MAY-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
