Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Florida intends to issue a sole source three-year requirements contract to Complete Parachute Systems, 1200 Flightline Boulevard, Deland, Florida for the procurement of component parts to support the Advanced Ram Air Parachute System (ARAPS) and the Tandem Offset Resupply Delivery System (TORDS). The items being procured and the approximate quantities (as will be specified in each individual delivery order) are as follows: eight (8) each TORDS Systems (P/N CPS-TORDS-SYSTEM), eight (8) each TORDS ESP Kits (P/N CPS-ESP-TORDS-TS14), 962 each ARAPS Multi-Mission Systems (P/N CPS-MM14-SYSTEM), 320 each ARAPS Spare Parts Kits (P/N CPS-KIT-ESPMM14-154), ten (10) each ARAPS Parachutist Transition Training Units, ten (10) each CONUS Rigger Training Units, one (1) each ARAPS OCONUS Rigger Training Unit. The ARAPS and TORDS systems and associated components are only available from Complete Parachute Systems (CPS) by direction ! of the Marine Corp Systems Command (MARCORPSYSCOM) Raids and Reconnaissance Program Office. The ARAPS and TORDS Systems are part of a highly specialized airborne delivery system, which has undergone extensive testing and qualification under the MARCORPSYSCOM Diving/Parachuting Authority. Each part has been tested to perform to rigid requirements for power consumption, power output, range, depth, altitude, etc. Only those articles, which have been successfully tested, are qualified. Procedures are detailed under Marine Corp Order (MCO) 3500.20A. The objective of this process is to verify that the system provides acceptable levels of safety and mission critical support throughout the system specific operating range thus providing maximum reasonable assurance that the mission can be completed.
