Description
The National Park Service has issued a Prospectus for a concession contract to provide motorized interpretive transportation tours within Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. The Prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the National Park Service will award a concession contract. The Concessioner will provide guided interpretive motorized tours through the use of one (1) vehicle that must have between fourteen (14) and twenty-four (24) seats and be universally accessible. The Concessioner will provide guided interpretive motorized tours for Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument visitors on a daily basis from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Concessioner will provide one-hour tours daily starting at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:00 noon, 2:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. The tour bus will leave from the visitor center parking lot and follow the Park tour road to the Reno-Benteen Battlefield and return. The Contract authorizes additional guided interpretive motorized tours from Labor Day through Memorial Day, an additional 1 or 2 tour vehicles with between fourteen (14) seats not to exceed twenty-four (24) seats and be universally accessible and 'step-on' guide services in which a Concessioner guide, upon request, boards a third party touring vehicle and presents an interpretive tour of the Park. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing concessioner is not a Preferred Offeror for the contract. Any proposal, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Chief, Business Resources, National Park Service, Intermountain Region, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228. The Prospectus will be issued May 10, 2005, for a 90-day response period under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2005. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy if picked up in person.
