- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management in Colorado requires remediation and maintenance services to be performed on four mine sites. The sites are located in San Juan County, Colorado (near Silverton). Each site has its own particular needs, varying from re-seeding, pipe cleaning, retaining wall repair, and trench maintenance (full details for each site will be included in the solicitation). The successful contractor will provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, supervision, and materials and supplies necessary to complete remediation and maintenance as directed by the BLM. The contractor will prepare a work plan, and health and safety plan for BLM approval. The contractor will obtain all necessary permits or any other clearances required by San Juan County. Prior to mobilization to any site, the contractor shall cooperate with the BLM to identify boundary of all work areas, and approved areas for equipment travel, parking, and staging of materials and supplies. This project is to be performed at high altitude. The Town of Silverton is located at 9,318 feet, with the mine sites being at elevations above this. Potential contractors should take into consideration all factors that will affect their performance, on this project, when working at this altitude. This project is being advertised under NAICS code 562910, Site remediation services, with a small business threshold of $12,000,000.00. The estimated cost of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on 12 May 2005.
