- Description
- The work consists of furnishing one (1) one tender boat with operating personnel. The boat will be used on the Mississippi River from Cairo, Illinois,(Mile 953.8 AHP) to the Head of Passes (Mile 0.0), the Old River, the Atchafalaya River, the Red Riv er (Louisiana), the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) as far west as the Calcasieu River and the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet (MRGO). The tender will transport Government barges at job sites as may be directed by the Contracting Officer or his representat ive. Delivery of this boat shall be made afloat to the Engineer in Charge, Bank Grading Unit, McKellar Lake, Memphis, TN, or as directed by the Engineer in Charge, within five (5) calendar days after receipt of notice to report to work. It is expected, bu t not guaranteed, that delivery of the boat will be required on or about 18 July 2005. It is estimated that the tender will be used approximately 120 days per year. It is expected that the tender will generally be used 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. However, these days are not guaranteed and the Government reserves the right to use the tender for more or less days as needed. Solicitation number W912EQ-05-T-0016 will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) on or about 6 May 2005 with a closing date of 19 May 2005, 2:00 PM CST. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The solicitation and all information pertaining to this acquisition will be made electronically available through the USACE Memphis District webpage: http://www.mvm.usace.arm y.mil/contracting/ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp. Contractors shall submit a lump sum quotation to include all charges. Quotes may be submitted in hard copy or electronically, either through regular mail, email, or facsimile. Regardless of method of delivery, it is the offerers responsibility to ensure receipt of quotes by the time and date stated herein.
