Description
The Air Force Academy has a requirement for the purchase of B-4 Flyer Bags, and Garment Bags. The bags shall be manufactured in accordance with USAFA PD 211 34/LGU, Dated 19 Aug 2004 and USAFA PD 210 34 TRW/SDCU, Dated 28 Oct 2004. Basic fabric for the B-4 Flyer Bag shall be 1050 Denier Ballistic Nylon, 13.5 oz per sq yard, 2 x 2 basket weave with 1 oz Urethane coating. The liner shall be 430 Denier type 6 ? allied nylon Navy Blue in color, plain weave weight 5.38 oz per sq yard, reed width 66.6, end loom count 52x38. Color shall be navy blue. The basic fabric for the Garment Bag shall be 1050 Denier Ballistic Nylon, 13.5 oz per sq yard, 2 x 2 basket weave with 1 oz Urethane coating. The liner shall be 430 Denier type 6 ? allied nylon Navy Blue in color, plain weave weight 5.38 oz per sq yard, reed width 66.6, end loom count 52x38. Color shall be navy blue. The wood supporting the handles on both bag styles shall be ?? Finland Birchwood, finished dimensions are ?? x 2 ?? x 22? with cut corners. The material for the handle/trim on both bag styles shall be black man-made leather, 37 oz per sq yard, polyester/cotton blend base fabric, expanded thermoplastic coating with polyurethane finish .088 ga. thick. The webbing on both bag styles shall be 840 denier polypropylene .050? thick. The 1? web will be 2.8# ?s/c yards, 23 pics, 74 ends, 12 binder yarns, tensile strength 600 lbs. The 1 ? web will be 3.9 # s/c yards, 23 pics 110 ends, 18 binder yarns, tensile strength 900 lbs. First Article may be required IAW FAR 52.209-3. Delivery FOB destination to USAF Academy CO 80840. Request for Quotation, FA7000-05-T-0087 will be available on or about 1 February 2005 and can only be downloaded from FedBizOpps. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE PROVIDED. This acquisition will be accomplished utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 & 13. The requested delivery date is not later than 30 April 2005. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the Agency and shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code and size standard are 316991 and the Business Size Standard is 500.
