- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Acquisition Management Division, on behalf of the Fire Research Division, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), with FLIR System, Inc. of North Billerica, MA for the repair of a FLIR Infometric P350 Camera including replacement parts. *** Sole source determination is based on FLIR Systems, Inc. being the sole manufacturer and provider of the Infometric P350 Camera and the components that must perform with the existing hardware, electronics, and software necessary to utilize the equipment. The components for this requirement comprise of the PCB Assy Video Processor, Viewfinder T-Cam, HLDR TLSCP 12.5MM, Thermistor Assy TLSCP, Block Kinematic Mount, Bearing Cam, and SCR Cam including Maintenance/Calibration and the repair of the FLIR Radiametric. ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516, and the size standard is 500 employees. ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, responses received by May 10, 2005 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
