Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), has a requirement for Delta Pink Bollworm Traps to conduct insect presence and levels of population survey to support the decision making program activities in El Paso, TX and Edinburg, TX. A firm, fixed-price indefinite quantity indefinite delivery commercial supplies contract is anticipated for the purchase of the Delta Pink Bollworm Traps. The effective period of the contract shall be May 23, 2005, or date of award, whichever is later, through September 30, 2005. The contract will include a base and four 1-year unilateral options to extend the effective period. The annual requirement of traps may range from 640 cases to 700 for the base period and an estimated minimum of 4 cases to a maximum of 880 cases for the option years. Delivery orders for the Pink Bollworm traps, will be issued on an as needed basis. The solicitation, 039-M-APHIS-05, will be released on or about May 6, 2005 and will be a 100% small business set-aside, therefore, all responsible small businesses may submit an offer. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at this site. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFERER?S REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFERER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATES. The NAICS code is 322222 with a size standard of 500 employees. Proposals shall be submitted to the contracting activity by the date and time indicated in the invitation for proposal which is anticipated to be May 13, 2005. A sample of traps shall be delivered to Phoenix, Arizona by the date and time listed in the solicitation. All proposals shall have the solicitation number placed on the front of the proposal envelope.
