Description

The seminar, Small Business Programs with the Federal Government, will be held on Tuesday May 10, 2005 at 6:30pm ? 9:30pm at George Mason University Procurement Technical Assistance Program, 4031 University Drive, Suite 200, Fairfax, VA 22030. The cost is $45.00 and space is still available. Federal small business programs are changing fast! This seminar will cover the eligibility requirements and competitive benefits of federal small business programs, including small business size status and affiliation issues, 8(a) Business Development program rules, HUBZone program, and changes to the Veteran owned small business programs. We will also discuss the new and changing regulations in these areas including SBA's proposed conversion of 37 of its revenue or "annual receipts" based size standards to 10 "employee" based standards. This proposed conversion of the size standards could have a significant impact on certain businesses that, although currently eligible as small, may not qualify as small under the new regulations!
