Description
The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns only. The estimated value of this procurement is between $100,000 and $500,000. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees, NAICS Code is 336611 and the SIC is 3731. The acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the USCGC PATOKA (WLR-75408), a 75-FOOT?E? CLASS RIVER BUOYTENDER and BARGE. All work will be performed at contractors place of performance. The performance period will be 52 calendar days with a start date 12 Sept 2005. The home pier of the cutter is Greenville, MS. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC PATOKA (WLR-75408). This cutter is restricted to the Western River and its tributaries above mile 0 of the Lower Mississippi River. This work will include, but is not limited to, (1) Welding Repairs (2) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts, (3) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Intermediate Shaft (4) Straighten Shaft (5) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings (6) Renew Propeller Shaft Sleeve(s) (7) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propellers (6) Perform Minor Repairs and Reconditioning of Propeller (9) Clean, Inspect, and Test Grid Coolers (10) Overhaul and Renew Valves (11) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assemblies for Steering and Flanking Systems (12) Rebuild Rudder Stock (13) Renew Rudder Lower Bearing Trunk (14) Inspect Various Deck Fittings (15)Preserve Ballast Tank (16) Preserve Barge Buoy Deck (17) Preserve Underwater Body (18) Provide Dining and Lodging (19) Provide Temporary Logistics (20) Routine Dry docking (21) Renew Grey Water Piping (22) Renew Barge Starboard Transducer Well (23) Renew Barge Buoy Port Insert Plating (24) Fabricate and Install Stack Lovers and Access Covers (25) Renew Exhaust Lagging Systems (26) Clean, and Inspect Exhaust Stacks (27) Renew Deck Covering System (28) Protect the Hydraulic ATON Crane (However, in accordance with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to http://bbaechle@mlca.uscg.mil or by fax at (757) 628-4676.
