Description
The purpose of this Amendment is to answer questions in response to the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (CSS) that were submitted prior to the deadline for questions (29 April 2005, Noon Mountain Standard Time). The closing date and time for Request f or Quotations remains unchanged (5 May 2005, Noon Mountain Standard Time). 1. QUESTION: Galvanized Purlins and Girts? What about the rigid frames? 1. ANSWER: Not necessary to be galvanized for rigid frames (sidewall columns and rafters, there are no interior columns). ANSWER: No insulation in the walls. All doors are to be insulated. 3. QUESTION: What eave height is required? 3. ANSWER: Wall height is 16 feet to provide clearance for the 14 foot doors. Roof pitch is 4/12 and the building s ize is 60 feet X 80 feet, so the eave height is 24 feet. 4. QUESTION: Can you tell me where the Hawaiian Blue color came from? Do we have to match this exactly or if we have a standard color that is very close is that OK or do we have to develop a non-s tandard color of our manufacturer? 4. ANSWER: The Hawaiian Blue and Polar White are standard colors for the buildings at the Cold Regions Test Center, Ft. Greely, Alaska. Close is OK. 5. QUESTION: What building codes need to be used. 5. ANSWER: Internation al Building Code (IBC). Location: Ft. Greely, Alaska, Borough: Fairbanks North Star Borough. Zip Code: 99737 NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (02-MAY-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
