- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for Nurse?s Services at the SSA Frank Hagel Federal Building and the Richmond Training Center both located in Richmond, California. The Contractor shall provide two (2) Registered Nurse I for the health unit to perform professional medical care services to SSA Richmond, CA staff which shall include the level of medical care of basic occupational care, medical emergencies, and/or on-the-job injuries and providing medical services to meet the special health needs of the building staff of approximate 1,600 employees. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract with a twelve (12) month base year period and four (4), successive, one-year options, if exercised, following a 45-calendar day phase-in transition period. All potential contractors and its employees will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance on an award. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to submission of offer and have completed the Annual Representation and Certifications effective January 2005, per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.204-8. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. This acquisition is a set-aside 100 percent for Total Small Business concerns. Any responsible small business source may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Agency. Offers received from other than a small business source will be deemed unacceptable and will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 621399. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 8049. The size standard for this NAICS code is $6.0 million. This acquisition is determined to be subject to Part 13, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regarding the acquisition of commercial items and also subject to Part 15 of the FAR regarding contracting by negotiation. A Request for Proposals (RFP), Number SS09-RFP-62019 is scheduled for release on or about May 20, 2005, with proposals due no-later-than 30 calendar days thereafter. The solicitation will be available for downloading only from the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov . See note 1. Requests for additional information received prior to the publication of the RFP may not be honored or acknowledged.
