- Description
- The contract will require maintenance dredging of the North Turning Basin to a 31-foot required depth with a 2-foot allowable over depth. The quantity of material to be dredged from the North Turning Basin will be approximately (estimated quantity) 50 thousand cubic yards. All dredged material will be placed in the newly designated ocean disposal area (ODMDS) located approximately 4.5 miles northeast of Port Everglades Harbor. Work will also include turbidity monitoring and endangered species obser ver / monitoring. The Contractor shall furnish plant and equipment that can accomplish work within the time specified under the expected weather and wave conditions. Magnitude of construction is between to $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The performance period will be 46 calendar days from notice to proceed. There will be a price evaluation preference for certified Hub Zone small business concerns that comply with the requirements in the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307. This solicitation will be issued on or about 17 May 2005 and open on or about 17 June 2005. The solicitation will be posted on our website. Any interested bidders must register electronically.
