Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for 1ea Laser Tracker Measuring System: Statement of Work Portable Digital Laser Absolute Distance Measurement System WR-ALC/MADLM ROBINS AFB, GA 31098 22 April 2005 Scope: The Metallurgical Analysis Team (MADLM) requires a new state of the art portable, 3D measurement system, which uses laser technology to effectively and accurately measure large aircraft parts. This will give MADLM personnel the capability to measure complex curves such as airfoils, aircraft panels and structural members without having to remove items from the aircraft. These measurements will be used to verify dimensions on first article test samples and special engineering projects. The Faro Laser Tracker X is the only known method of obtaining Absolute Distance Measurement with high accuracy over large distances such as large cargo aircraft. The laser can take measurements at a distance of 230 feet. Accuracy of the laser shall be .136 mm at a range of 35 meters. This is sufficient for measurement requirements of the metrology lab. Requirements: 1. The contractor shall provide a Faro Tracker X system with the capabilities and accessories listed below: a. The system will include XtremeADM Laser Tracker Instrument Head, Master control unit (MCU), Integrated Precision Level Sensor, Remote air temperature sensor, two 1.5? SMRs with optical cases, Calibration tripod with target mount, RF remote control, notebook computer with Ethernet connection to MCU, CAM2 software, Softcheck Tool Manager software, Softcheck Developer?s kit, digital camera, heavy- duty shipping cases, Target Tooling Kit, and FLT Folding Stand with Wheels. b. Accuracy of system shall be .033mm at 2 meters. c. Scan range greater than 200 feet. d. Sample rate shall be 10,000 per second. Delivery and Familiarization: 1. The contractor shall be responsible for delivering all necessary hardware and software to WR-ALC/MADLM, Robins AFB, GA, Building 323. 2. When the system is delivered, the contractor shall provide a minimum of one day of on-site assistance and familiarization on the operation of the hardware/software for WR-ALC/MADLM personnel at the installation site. Quality Assurance and Documentation: 1. The contractor shall provide the Laser system and accessories and demonstrate compliance with the requirements and intent set forth herein within the negotiated delivery period, which shall not exceed six months from the start of the contract. The manufacturer?s standard warranties shall be provided, and the system(s) shall be covered by the contractor?s standard warranty for at least a period of one full year. 2. The vendor shall provide telephone support for all hardware, software and services for a period of three years from system receipt date. 3. The contractor shall provide two copies of a system manual with printed documentation of the configuration of all software and services, hardware, hardware configuration and test data. This is a Brand Name Only request. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a writen solicitation will not be issued. The following numbered notes apply to this acquisition: 22. The following clauses are applicable to subject solicitation: FAR 52.212-1 (Instructions to Offerors), 52.212-2 (Evaluation-Commercial Items), 52.212-3 (Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial items), 52.212-4 (Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items), and 52.212-5 (Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Stautes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items). In accordance with clause 52.212-2, the evaluation factors shall be: price and price related factors. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov/ to be considered for award.
