- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items against an existing contract vehicle such as a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) or a Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). This announcement constitutes the request for quotations (RFQ) for the required items under RFQ number AG-82TS-S-05-0015. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. Award will be made by issuance of a delivery order against the applicable FSS or GWAC contract to the vendor that the Government determines provides the best value (price, delivery period, past performance, and other relevant factors considered). All terms and conditions of the awardee?s FSS or GWAC contract shall apply to the subsequent award. There will be no formal ranking of quotes received. Inquiries will only be accepted by email to debbie.dove@ftc.usda.gov. Only those quotes that meet or exceed the Government?s requirements will be considered. Quoters are not to submit sales, marketing, or other corporate literature that does not specifically address the requirements of this RFQ. This proposed action is for commercial items for which the Government intends to acquire the brand name items on a sole source basis under 41 U.S.C. 253(C)(1). The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requires renewal of Red Hat Linux software subscriptions as listed below. The software is for servers located in St. Louis, MO currently running Red Hat Linux in the Web Farms and on other enterprise servers. The cost of replacing the operating system on 80 plus servers would be cost prohibitive at this time. USDA, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Information Technology Services (ITS) is issuing this combined synopsis/solicitation to request firm, fixed-price quotes, via FSS or other GWAC vehicle, for the following products (line items): LI 01) RHF0233US, 10Pk Red Hat Ent Linux 3-ES X86 Std SUP, Qty 7 each; LI 02) MCT0421US, Red Hat Ntwk Mgmt w/Provisioning, 1 year, Qty 70 each; LI 03) MCT0369US, Red Hat Ntwk Proxy, 1 year, Qty 2 each; LI 04) MCT0370US, Red Hat Ntwk Sat, 1 year, Qty 1 each; and LI 05) RHF0327US, Red Hat Ent Linux WS (v.4 Standard for Intel Itanium), Qty 3 each. At a minimum, vendors shall provide a copy of their FSS or GWAC contract along with a price quotation on letterhead which identifies (1) the GSA Schedule contract number; (2) the requested line items with unit prices and extended prices; (3) a total price for the quotation; (4) delivery time after award; (5) prompt payment terms; (6) payment remittance address; (7) Tax I.D. #; and, (8) DUNS #. Responses to this solicitation are due by May 6, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Quotations shall be emailed to debbie.dove@ftc.usda.gov. Reference RFQ AG-82TS-S-05-0015 on the subject line of the email message transmitting the quotation.
