Description

AMENDMENT: THE SOLICITATION IS AMENDED TO INCLUDE THE SPECIFICATION "ROUGH-SAWN" IN EVERY LINE ITEM. SOLICITATION TIME IS EXTENDED TO MAY 6, 2005, CLOSE OF BUSINESS (4:30 P.M., PST)Idaho Panhandle National Forests, Sandpoint Ranger District, Bonner County, Idaho. This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation AG-0281-S-05-0021 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-03. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification Code is 321114. A quotation is requested for seven (7) line items. LINE ITEM 01: 200 each, 4 inch by 10 inch by 12 feet, treated coastal Douglas fir, number 1 or better, FOHC, rough sawn, 0.40 ACQ incised. LINE ITEM 02: 4 each, 6 inch by 10 inch by 12 feet, treated coastal Douglas fir, number 1 or better, FOHC, rough sawn, 0.40 ACQ incised. LINE ITEM 03: 8 each, 6 inch by 10 inch by 18 feet, treated coastal Douglas fir, number 1 or better, FOHC, rough sawn, 0.40 ACQ incised. LINE ITEM 04: 4 each, 6 inch by 10 inch by 22 feet, treated coastal Douglas fir, number 1 or better, FOHC, 0.40 ACQ incised. LINE ITEM 05: 20 each, 8 inch by 12 inch by 6 feet, treated coastal Douglas fir, number 1 or better, FOHC, 0.40 ACQ incised. LINE ITEM 06: 95 each, 8 inch by 12 inch by 5 feet, treated coastal Douglas fir, number 1 or better, FOHC, 0.40 ACQ incised. LINE ITEM 07: 680 each, 3 inch by 12 inch by 4 feet, treated coastal Douglas fir, number 1 or better, FOHC, 0.40 ACQ incised. Inspection will be made at the delivery point and will consist of random sampling of the product for conformance with specifications and quantity count. Products delivered under any resulting contract must conform to the specifications listed. FAR 52.211-16, Variation in Quantity (April, 1984) applies to this solicitation and any resulting contract. (a) A variation in the quantity of any item called for by this contract will not be accepted unless the variation has been caused conditions of loading, shipping, or packing, or allowances in manufacturing processes, and then only to the extent, if any, specified in paragraph (b) of this clause. (b) The permissible variation shall be limited to: 1 percent increase, 1 percent decrease, total contract quantity. All deliveries shall be made on regular workdays (Monday through Friday) during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), excluding official Federal Government holidays. Contractor shall notify the designated Contracting Officer?s Representative at the Sandpoint Ranger District (208) 265-6624 a minimum of 24 hours prior to delivery. Designated delivery location shall be at a temporary Forest Service helibase to be located at the intersection of Trestle Creek Road 275 and Lightning Creek Road 419, 16 miles east of Sandpoint, Idaho on U.S. Highway 200. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include with their offer a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, as well as price for each line item, delivery price, total price, and earliest possible delivery date ARO. The clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
